SEPTEMBER WrapUp - OCTOBER TBR

Last month was a total success. I read a total of 6 books and a half, which means I finished 7 books. Therefore, I think is the month I have read the most in the whole year. Most of the books have its individual reviews already posted, and if you are interested on any of them you are invited to check those out.

First of all, I finished “Daughter of Smoke and Bone” by Laini Taylor, which I highly enjoyed and I think was a really good first book in a series I am pretty sure its going to be an awesome fantasy series.

“Requiem” by Lauren Oliver. I enjoyed this book as I was reading it, however I think it was a pointless book, especially since it was supposes to be the ending of a series and it didn’t conclude the series.

“ElCorredor del Laberinto” / “The Maze Runner” by James Dashner. I wasn’t planning on reading this book this month, but I wanted to read the book before going to the cinema. I thought this was a very good book, maybe a little more oriented towards a younger public, but still really good.

“Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead. This was a fantastic conclusion to a very unique and awesome vampire series.

“Allegiant” by Veronica Roth. This controversy ending to a well-known series was, in my opinion, a good conclusion to the series.

“Of Neptune” by Anna Banks. This was the final book in the Of Poseidon series, which was a mermaid series I have enjoyed a lot. The last book wasn’t as good, still pretty enjoyable.

“If I should Die” by Amy Plum. This was the last book in the Revenant series, a good supernatural romance series, which I really liked. I thought its ending was everything I have expected, maybe a little too obvious, but really likeable in the end.

Of course, for October I couldn’t thing of a better theme than Halloween. Therefore I choose kind of creepy books as well as some related with supernatural elements and witches. The only other thing I might read is a Jane Austen book, because I heard of the Jane Austen book club hosted by Zoë from readbyzoe. This month is "Mansfield Park", which I had in physical copy. I found what a better time to read the book that now.

As for my Halloween reads:
“The Diviners” by Libba Bray. I heard this book is quite scary and I thought It would be perfect
“The Coldest Girl in Coldtown” by Holly Black. Not quite scary but with Vampires.
“The unbecoming of Mara Dyer” by Michelle Hodkin. Another book I heard was quite creepy.
“The Dolls” by Kiki Sulivan. A book who is said mix paranormal with Pretty Little Liars. I love pretty little liars, and those books are quite creepy on its own, so I cant wait to find out how about this one.
“Sweep” by Cate Tiernan. Benjaminoftomes doesn’t stop talking about this series. He said it is the best witches series he has ever read. And he has read quite a lot.

"The Carrier of the Mark” by Leight Fallon.  I have had this book for quite a long time and 2supernatural fits with this month, so I decided to get on it.
I hope this month goes as good as the past one and I can make trough my ambitious TBR.
Thanks for reading!

Half Year Wrap Up and July TBR

Hello everyone, as I said on my update and favorites post I’m sorry I’ve been absent lately. Because of that, I’m not going to do a monthly wrap up, but a middle of the year wrap up. I can’t believe we have already hit the middle of the year, but here we are and I’m four books behind in my goodreads challenge, which is more or less like a month. It isn’t much considering how little time I have had to read, as well as many other things, and considering there were two months in which I didn’t finished one book.  We start with January, the best month reading wise I’ve had in years, I completed a total of 8 books in addition to a novella and a graphic novel. Not only that, I also highly enjoyed most books I read during that month  “Captivated by You” by Sylvia Day. The last book published in the Crossfire series, really liked it, and I can’t wait for the next book which I think might be the last. (4/5) “Conociendo a Raul” by Blue Jeans. The novella I read, prequel to “El Club de

The Golden Lily - Richelle Mead

Tittle: The Golden Lilly (Bloodlines #2) Author: Richelle Mead Genre: Fiction, YA, Fantasy, Vampires. Pages: 418 Publisher: Penguin group Format: Digital (Kindle) Time to read it: 6 days Language: English Rating: 5/5 “The Golden Lily” is the second book in the “Bloodlines” series written by Richelle Mead. This is a spin-off series of her previous work “Vampire Academy”. This time the plot centers around Sydney, which we met on the previous series as an alchemist, an “agency” that works on making the vampire world “invisible” to the human kind, and that way they protect humans from evil, vampires. The alchemists tolerate Moroi and Damphir, however they do not engage with them more than what is strictly necessary, they are still evil. Nonetheless, they have a worse evil as common enemy Strigoi. After what happened to Sydney and Adrian, Dimitry and Sonya, former Strigoi turned back into Damphir and Moroi by spirit, came to Palm Springs in order to investigate

Strife - Cate Tiernan

Tittle: Strife Author: Cate Tiernan Genre: Fiction, YA, Romance, fantasy, witches, magik, coming of age. Pages: 188 Publisher: Puffin Format: Digital (Kindle) Time to read it: 5 days Language: English Rating: 4/5 “Strife is the ninth book in the “Wicca/Sweep” series, a series that follows Morgan as she finds out about the existence of magik and her relationship with it. She discovers a new part of her life that threatens with run over everything else. Weird things start happening and the only one that can be blame is Morgan who is uninitiated, since now Ciaran is on the run, and Selene and Cal dead. Hunter brings someone to help her out but her solution to things kinds of goes to extreme. Also, Alisa leaves the coven, since all the things happening scared her off. “Strife” was a good book in the series but it got me lost a little bit. They introduced Alisa’s point of view which kinds of puts me off a little bit and all in all it was a little tedious
