Wrap Up and October TBR

Hello again,

I know I have been really absent the last couple of months, but sometimes life happens…

Therefore, since a new month have just started I wanted to wrap up the reading I have been doing during the last months and setting up my TBR for this month of October.

During July I was able to read four books, most of them were really captivating and I really liked them. I read Opposition, the last book in the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, which was a really good conclusion to a good and entertaining series, however there were aspects of the book I would have changed and that made me rating it with four stars.
Then I read the first three books in the Royals series by Erin Watt, Paper Princess, Broken Prince and Twisted Palace. These books were really compelling and exactly what I was looking for when I went into them something that kept me reading. I gave all of them five stars.

And last but not least “The truth about forever” by Sarah Dessen. This is one of the most popular books from this contemporary queen. I had already read something from her and since most her books are really summery, I decided to give it a go. I really loved it, as I said with the previous ones, it was exactly what I was looking for. I also gave it five stars.

Then August came by and I was trying really hard to cope with life in general, since it was a rough month, therefore I was not able to read as much as I was hoping for. I finished three-ish books. I read Hopeless by Colleen Hoover which was a marvelous surprise, since I got into it expecting a contemporary and found a really rough and compelling story which I loved.
Then I finally got around to read “Always and forever, Lara Jean” by Jenny Han the last book in the “To all the boys I’ve loved before”. I liked this book but I did not love the ending that much and it costed me a little to read it, therefore I gave it four stars. However, I still think the series is a sweet and cute contemporary series worth reading.

At the same time, I was reading both these books I was reading “Tarnished crown” a novella inside the “Royals” series by Erin Watt, which was being published chapter by chapter on Wattpad. I liked it but it was that, a novella it did not add much to the series.

About last month, September, I completed three books. I read “Fallen Heir” the fourth book in “The Royals” series by Erin Watt with was published in August. The only thing I would say about it is that I cannot wait to the next one to be released.
Then I read “Silver Silence” by Nalini Singh, which is the first book in the new series “Psy-changeling trinity” which follows the “Psy-changeling series” I liked the book but I founded it a little slower than the previous ones.

Last but not least I finished the “Burn for Burn complete trilogy” book which I also have been reading during July and August. This series was good but the “surprise” revealed on the second book made me not like the book as much. I thought it was going in a direction I did not love. It reminded me of the “Mara Dyer” series I read years ago.

That was it for all my reading, now about my October TBR. I am a little behind on my reading challenge therefore this month I decided to go into the shorter books and I am challenging myself to finish once and for all the “Sweep/Wicca” series by Cate Tiernan, which I started years ago but only get though the five first books. I remember really liking this series and it is really Halloween-y since it is about magic and witches. Therefore, I will be reading: Spellbound, The Calling, Changeling, Strife, Seeker, Origins, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full circle and Night Child; a total of ten books. Let’s see if I’m able to make it.

Thank you for reading,

Half Year Wrap Up and July TBR

Hello everyone, as I said on my update and favorites post I’m sorry I’ve been absent lately. Because of that, I’m not going to do a monthly wrap up, but a middle of the year wrap up. I can’t believe we have already hit the middle of the year, but here we are and I’m four books behind in my goodreads challenge, which is more or less like a month. It isn’t much considering how little time I have had to read, as well as many other things, and considering there were two months in which I didn’t finished one book.  We start with January, the best month reading wise I’ve had in years, I completed a total of 8 books in addition to a novella and a graphic novel. Not only that, I also highly enjoyed most books I read during that month  “Captivated by You” by Sylvia Day. The last book published in the Crossfire series, really liked it, and I can’t wait for the next book which I think might be the last. (4/5) “Conociendo a Raul” by Blue Jeans. The novella I read, prequel to “El Club de

The Golden Lily - Richelle Mead

Tittle: The Golden Lilly (Bloodlines #2) Author: Richelle Mead Genre: Fiction, YA, Fantasy, Vampires. Pages: 418 Publisher: Penguin group Format: Digital (Kindle) Time to read it: 6 days Language: English Rating: 5/5 “The Golden Lily” is the second book in the “Bloodlines” series written by Richelle Mead. This is a spin-off series of her previous work “Vampire Academy”. This time the plot centers around Sydney, which we met on the previous series as an alchemist, an “agency” that works on making the vampire world “invisible” to the human kind, and that way they protect humans from evil, vampires. The alchemists tolerate Moroi and Damphir, however they do not engage with them more than what is strictly necessary, they are still evil. Nonetheless, they have a worse evil as common enemy Strigoi. After what happened to Sydney and Adrian, Dimitry and Sonya, former Strigoi turned back into Damphir and Moroi by spirit, came to Palm Springs in order to investigate

Strife - Cate Tiernan

Tittle: Strife Author: Cate Tiernan Genre: Fiction, YA, Romance, fantasy, witches, magik, coming of age. Pages: 188 Publisher: Puffin Format: Digital (Kindle) Time to read it: 5 days Language: English Rating: 4/5 “Strife is the ninth book in the “Wicca/Sweep” series, a series that follows Morgan as she finds out about the existence of magik and her relationship with it. She discovers a new part of her life that threatens with run over everything else. Weird things start happening and the only one that can be blame is Morgan who is uninitiated, since now Ciaran is on the run, and Selene and Cal dead. Hunter brings someone to help her out but her solution to things kinds of goes to extreme. Also, Alisa leaves the coven, since all the things happening scared her off. “Strife” was a good book in the series but it got me lost a little bit. They introduced Alisa’s point of view which kinds of puts me off a little bit and all in all it was a little tedious
