“Opal” is the fourth book in the “Lux” series written by Jennifer L. Armentrout. The series follows Kat, a book lover who moves from Florida to West Virginia after her mother decided it was time to start over. There she will start making friends with her new neighbor Dee and start a hate-hate relationship with her brother Daemon. But everything changes when she discovers they are aliens.
“Dawson” is back but he is not completely himself, he has changed and he is desperate to find “Beth”. Meanwhile Daemon wants to make things right with Kate, but most of the time he has to take care of his brother. When Blake returns to town everyone thinks he is signing his death sentence, however he has a deal they might not be able to reject. While they make a rescue plan with Blake, Kat still worries about Will and his ongoing relationship with her mother.
This fourth book was a little slower that the rest of the ones in the series. It was either that or that I felt less captivated by it, either way it toke me quite long to get though the book. I did like the development of the relationship between Daemon and Kat, and I did like the adventure tone of the book, especially about the rescue mission. However I did not like how it ended up developing.

All in all, I did like the book but I thought I would enjoyed it more than I did. Therefore I will read the next books hoping it gets better.

I can’t believe we have already hit the middle of the year, but here we are and I’m four books behind in my goodreads challenge, which is more or less like a month. It isn’t much considering how little time I have had to read, as well as many other things, and considering there were two months in which I didn’t finished one book.  We start with January, the best month reading wise I’ve had in years, I completed a total of 8 books in addition to a novella and a graphic novel. Not only that, I also highly enjoyed most books I read during that month  “Captivated by You” by Sylvia Day. The last book published in the Crossfire series, really liked it, and I can’t wait for the next book which I think might be the last. (4/5) “Conociendo a Raul” by Blue Jeans. The novella I read, prequel to “El Club de

This is a spin-off series of her previous work “Vampire Academy”. This time the plot centers around Sydney, which we met on the previous series as an alchemist, an “agency” that works on making the vampire world “invisible” to the human kind, and that way they protect humans from evil, vampires. The alchemists tolerate Moroi and Damphir, however they do not engage with them more than what is strictly necessary, they are still evil. Nonetheless, they have a worse evil as common enemy Strigoi. After what happened to Sydney and Adrian, Dimitry and Sonya, former Strigoi turned back into Damphir and Moroi by spirit, came to Palm Springs in order to investigate
