TOP TEN TUESDAY #1 - Top ten books I read in 2013

Hello everyone, I decided to start Top ten tuesday. For the ones who doesn't know top ten tuesday is an original  feature created by The Broke and The Bookish. This feature consist in in listing ten things in a topic.
This week top ten was, as you can see in the heading, top ten books read in 2013. This year I read a total of 54 books. I didn't reach my goal of 60 books, however I go really near and read more books that I have ever read. Some of those books were great and I am happy to say that I hardly read any bad books, which is awesome. Now I will introduce you to my favorites, which made to this list for different reasons that I will explain briefly. They are listed from least favorite, still favorite, to most favorite.

10. CHOCKER by Elisabeth Woods. This book is in this list because it actually surprised me; I didn't have high expectations for it, and it was really good.

9. WARM BODIES by Isaac Marion. Its original turn on zombies, as well as, the way it is narrated made it a very special book. I would have never imagine myself reading a zombie novel, yet enjoy it as much as I did.

8. CONFESSIONS OF AN ANGRY GIRL by Louise Rozzet. The reason why I loved this book as much as I did was the realistic it seemed. I felt it could be a real story, something a person you meet for the first time can tell you.

7. EMBRACE by Jessica Shirvington. The new twist on angels could be the reason why I devoured this book. Nonetheless, I couldn't point an specific characteristic why I enjoyed this book so much. I just know that I did really liked it.

6. LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR by Stephany Perkins. As it happened with Anna and the French Kiss, this new book was like fresh air, a book to made you feel happy. It is a sweet read, something you will finish with a smile on your face.

5. AMY & ROGER'S EPIC DETOUR by Morgan Matson. This book is also a sweet book, nonetheless its original edition made it stand out more.

4. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS by John Green. I don't think I have to say anything about this book.

3. CURSED by Lizzy Ford. This was such an amazing book, I couldn't put it down. It got me interested more in witchcraft, especially on voodoo. I got surprised, being honest.

2. SLAVE TO SENSATION by Nailini Singh. I think this book is the perfect transition to a more mature/adult genre if you love YA. The world and the interaction of the characters made this book a really good one.

1. ANGELFALL by Susan Ee. This was the book that surprised me the most. I got it because it was really cheap on Amazon. I expected some YA novel about angels, nontheless is much more than that. It is the perfect combination of action, creepiness, badass characters, dystopia, and bit of romance. JUST AWESOME!!

I hope you had a good reading year and will start 2014 with energy and happiness.

PS.I know its Wednesday but I didn't have time yesterday to post, I hope to get back on track.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...
