City of Lost Souls is the fifth book in the Mortal Instruments series written by Cassandra Clare. This series is the first one written by the author of what is considered a bigger series called the Shadowhunter chronicles.
There has been two months since Clary left Jace on the roof, two months since he disappeared as well as Sebastian. The whole clave have been looking for him, however on the last reunion of the council they decided to stop looking for him, and to give priority to other things. From that moment on is Clary the one who keep looking for him helped by Isabelle, Simon, Alec and Magnus. However, is Jace who find Clary, but this version of him doesn’t feel like himself. Clary will have to choose between being with Jace even if that means risking his own, or risk Jace’s life by telling the Clave. On the other hand, Isabelle, Simon, Alec and Magnus will have to choose between doing the right thing, or going the dark path and find a solution for Jace’s problems.
City of Lost Souls was a terrific book, I couldn’t put it down.  The beginning was kind of slow but when the action starts it moved super-fast and there were important things happening all the time. There were to lines of action each one happening at its own pace. On one hand we have Clary and Jace, the dark Jace. On the other, we have Magnus and company trying to help Jace from the distance. Both were super intriguing and nail-biting. And both came together perfectly in a surprising and exciting ending. The only thing I didn’t like about the book was when Maia and Jordan appeared, because it feels like an addition that didn’t have any reason to appear.

To sum up, City of Lost Souls was an amazing book. As soon as I finished it I wanted to start the next one, but I am reading Clockwork princess first. Definitely a recommendation.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...
