“To all the boys I’ve loved before” is the first book in a new series of books Jenny Han started writing a couple of years ago. I read a couple of years ago her “Summer” trilogy and absolutely loved it, therefore I had to give this series a try.
Lara Jean has fell in love only a few times and every time she stopped feeling the same way she wrote a letter, it was her way of saying good-bye. Those letters were private, something the addressed in those letters should never read, however those letters got send and everything started to get crazy. Maybe things started to go nuts before the letters were sent probably when her big sister decided to go study abroad and leave her having to take care of her little sister Kit and her father. But going back into the letters one of those boys was her sister’s boyfriend, now ex-boyfriend, and in order to make him believe she did not care about him anymore she went into a fake relationship with Peter, another one of the boys in her letters and the stereotypical popular boy in school. Because that would make things much more easier, of course.
“To all the boys I’ve loved before” reminded me why I loved the “Summer” trilogy so much. Jenny Han’s characters are quirky and easy to connect with, even if you do not have much in common with the character. I do not know how she does it but even when Lara Jean was doing the craziest thing, you would not do, you know why she is doing it and why she felt like she had to do it. Also I love how she does not show her other characters completely, how you just have to learn how they are little by little. The story itself is hilarious and really easy to get into.

I would definitely recommend this book and I cannot wait to read the sequel.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...

Ruby Red book to movie adaptation

“Rubinrot” is the title of the movie adaptation from the book Ruby Red, which was released in 2013.   The movie has been translated to different languages including English as well as Spanish. The sequel was released in 2014, and the last in the series is expected to be released in 2016. As the book the movie follows Gwendolyn Shepperd, a regular 16-year-old girl who is tired of her family secrets. She will discover them all the moment she discover she carries a rare gene which allows her to travel back in time. Everyone was expecting her cousin to inherit the gene; however, she was the lucky one. She will have to face the order of the count of St. Germain, who have the mission to complete the chronograph, an instrument which allow the travelers to choose the date to which they will travel. The movie was actually an entertaining and fun movie, which I enjoyed a lot. It really transmitted the mysterious feeling of the books, giving it a fun tone, which I enjoyed. I think ...
