The evolution of Mara Dyer is the second book in the Mara Dyer series by Michelle Hodkin, which first book I read last year and loved.
Mara thought she knew was happening to her, she thought she knew what happened the night of the accident with her friends, she though everything was going to be fine until he saw Jude. Jude, her ex boyfriend who was supposed to be dead. The fact that she tries to tell everyone about Jude make her look crazy and with her historic her parents feel the necessity to search for help. What they don’t know is that the help they found might not really be helping Mara.
The evolution of Mara Dyer was a unique book, however I kept getting lost while reading it. First the narrator, Mara is the one who tells us the story, and because she doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not, it makes it difficult to follow. In addition to that there are many names that are close and I kept misplacing Jude and Jamie all the time. The concept although was, in my opinion, extremely unique, but as I couldn’t follow Mara, I felt it wasn’t developed as well as It could be.

To conclude, the evolution of Mara Dyer was a disappointment for me, and even with a unique plot, I had to push myself really hard to finish it.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...

Ruby Red book to movie adaptation

“Rubinrot” is the title of the movie adaptation from the book Ruby Red, which was released in 2013.   The movie has been translated to different languages including English as well as Spanish. The sequel was released in 2014, and the last in the series is expected to be released in 2016. As the book the movie follows Gwendolyn Shepperd, a regular 16-year-old girl who is tired of her family secrets. She will discover them all the moment she discover she carries a rare gene which allows her to travel back in time. Everyone was expecting her cousin to inherit the gene; however, she was the lucky one. She will have to face the order of the count of St. Germain, who have the mission to complete the chronograph, an instrument which allow the travelers to choose the date to which they will travel. The movie was actually an entertaining and fun movie, which I enjoyed a lot. It really transmitted the mysterious feeling of the books, giving it a fun tone, which I enjoyed. I think ...
