“Dark Lover” is the first book in and adult vampire series written by J.R.Ward. I picked it up since I wanted something which could compare to Nalini Singh’s series “Psy-changeling”.

There is a war between vampires and the ones who hunt them down. Ward is the leader of the black dagger brotherhood the society which works protecting civil vampires from their enemies. One of Wards brothers is killed leaving a half- human daughter behind, a daughter he asked Ward to take care of before dying.

“Dark lover” was not was I was expecting. I do think these series makes an original take on vampires and the world surrounded them. Nonetheless, I founded the love story quite surreal and weird. I like reading about more adult relationships and I have read a lot of books in the erotica genre before, but this one made the originality of the world in a second place and I did not liked it.

I would not really recommend this book and I am not continuing with the series since I founded I did not care about the story in the end.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...

Ruby Red book to movie adaptation

“Rubinrot” is the title of the movie adaptation from the book Ruby Red, which was released in 2013.   The movie has been translated to different languages including English as well as Spanish. The sequel was released in 2014, and the last in the series is expected to be released in 2016. As the book the movie follows Gwendolyn Shepperd, a regular 16-year-old girl who is tired of her family secrets. She will discover them all the moment she discover she carries a rare gene which allows her to travel back in time. Everyone was expecting her cousin to inherit the gene; however, she was the lucky one. She will have to face the order of the count of St. Germain, who have the mission to complete the chronograph, an instrument which allow the travelers to choose the date to which they will travel. The movie was actually an entertaining and fun movie, which I enjoyed a lot. It really transmitted the mysterious feeling of the books, giving it a fun tone, which I enjoyed. I think ...
