April Wrap Up and May TBR

We are starting the month of May and that means that I can look back into how my month went in terms of reading and what I want to accomplish this month that starts.

This past April I did not meet my TBR but I do not feel like I failed since I got to complete six books and a half. The first one I finally finished was the last book in the “Grisha trilogy” by Leigh Bardugo, an interesting series even though it was hard for me to get into it as much as I wanted to.

Then I read the sixth book in the “Psi/Changeling” series by Nalini Singh, “Branded by Fire”. This book lived up to my expectations and made me grab the next three books in the series. Therefore, I read “Blaze by memory”, “Bonds of Justice” and “Play of Passion”, books seventh to ninth in the series. Most of them nail-biting and compelling; the only one that I did not enjoyed as much was “Blaze of memory” but I still liked it

Then I read “Life and Death” the book that Stephenie Meyer publishes for the tenth anniversary of the Twilight saga. It is the same story but changing most of characters genre. It was not a bad experience but I did not felt the characters.

Last but not least, the book that will go directly to this month TBR since I did not managed to finished, “To all the boys I’ve loved before” by Jenny Han; I am actually enjoying this book, however I’m having less time than what I would like to read it.

Continuing with the “Psy/Cahngelings” series by Nalini Singh, I will read “Kiss of Snow” the tenth book in the series.
After this one I hopefully would read “The battle of the labyrinth”, which is the third book in the “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series, a series I am willing to finish this year.

After that I would like to keep with the aim of finishing series by reading “A million Suns” /”Tan Cerca”  and “Shades of earth”/ “Dos soles” , the second and third book in the “Across the universe” / “Despierta” series written by Beth Revis. A series I started years ago and which I did not want to finish until I owned the last book in the series, which I finally bought on the “book day” last month.

Apart from that I would love to continue reading into the “Shadowhunter chronicles” by reading “Lady Midnight” by Cassandra Clare. For the ones that did not know I started reading “The mortal instruments” years ago but stopped after the second book, because I did not enjoy that one as much as I expected. Then last year I got to read from book three to six, reading “The infernal devices” in between as they were published. I must admit I was obsessed with them, I loved the world and I could not get enough of it. Therefore, I cannot wait to dive into this new series set in the same world.

Last but not least, if I have enough time I would like to read “A temptation of Angels” a book that has appeared a couple of times in my TBR already, so let’s see if am able to get to it this month.

Thanks for reading,
