“Heartless”
is another fairytale retelling from the “Lunar chronicles” author Marissa
Meyer. This retelling tells the story of the Queen of Hearts and how she became
the heartless queen Alice met when she went to wonderland.
Catherine
has always had one dream, to be the best baker in all the reign of Hearts.
However, everything complicates when a new joker arrives to the kingdom and
when the king seems to be willing to make her his queen.
“Heartless”
was a good book but it did not captivated me. I started liking the book and
thinking I was really going to enjoy it. However, towards the middle it got a
little bit confused and quite boring and I had to pushed myself to keep reading
the book. The ending though was quite interesting and really well developed. As
I said I liked the book and the explanation it gave to the reason behind the
cruelty of the queen of hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
I would
recommend the book to the one that love the story of “Alice and Wonderland”
