“Code name verity” is a book about a prisoner during World War II and how that war changed her life and the one from everyone close to her.

“Code name verity” was a good historical fiction. However, I was expecting something different from this book, I do not know what but definitely something different. The first part of the book was really difficult for me to get through, there were a lot of flashes to the past of the main character and the language was not easy either. Moreover, because I do not really fully understand the first part I could not fully understand the second part of the book. From what I did understand I liked the story but it was not captivating and not really interesting. In my opinion, it was another story about the World War II, and I know they are many people that love reading this stories that even when they are fiction they could have been truth. I am just not one of them, I like historical fiction but when they are about other thing different than the war, when they give some hope.

I recommend this book to those who love typical World War II stories, however if you do not you might have some problems like I did to get through with it.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...

Ruby Red book to movie adaptation

“Rubinrot” is the title of the movie adaptation from the book Ruby Red, which was released in 2013.   The movie has been translated to different languages including English as well as Spanish. The sequel was released in 2014, and the last in the series is expected to be released in 2016. As the book the movie follows Gwendolyn Shepperd, a regular 16-year-old girl who is tired of her family secrets. She will discover them all the moment she discover she carries a rare gene which allows her to travel back in time. Everyone was expecting her cousin to inherit the gene; however, she was the lucky one. She will have to face the order of the count of St. Germain, who have the mission to complete the chronograph, an instrument which allow the travelers to choose the date to which they will travel. The movie was actually an entertaining and fun movie, which I enjoyed a lot. It really transmitted the mysterious feeling of the books, giving it a fun tone, which I enjoyed. I think ...
