“Crash
into you” is the third companion book in the “Pushing the limits” series. This
series follows different characters that had been introduced on one of the
previous books but that develop their story in their book.
Isaiah is
now living with Noah, but nothing is going quite as planned since they are
quite short on money and it would actually be much easier for Noah to start
living on campus as Echo. Isaiah is pretty desperate and ends up going for a
one-time race for Erik, the guy that runs the illegal business in their part of
town. That race would be against Rachel Young, the typical straight A rich girl
who appears in the wrong part of time at the wrong time. The race is call off
midway as the cops appear. Rachel helps Isaiah when his car stops and somehow
they end up clicking. Nonetheless, it will be better for Rachel if she does not
see Isaiah again, so when she leaves her cell phone he never calls back. However,
when he founds out that Erik thinks Rachel had something to do with the cops appearing
on the race, he has to save her from him even if that means having an
impossible debt to pay with Erik.
“Crash
into you” was as fantastic as the previous books. The writing of Katie McGarry
hooks you up super tight and you find yourself reading non-stop. I like how the
typical rich girl likes something that is not really typical, that is one of
the things that make this book special. There are a lot of stories out there about
rich girls who falls in love with the poor and not so good boy. However, the
fact that Rachel is obsessed with cars makes her speak Isaiah’s language. I
liked the rush about the bet and seeing how they fight to get through it. I
also liked that it takes time for Rachel to completely open herself to Isaiah,
even if they are quite bound together. And last but not least I loved how her
mother gets really serious and sincere at the end.
In
conclusion, another amazing “typical romance” made unique by Katy McGarry.
