“The Iron Queen” id the third book in the “Iron fey series by Julie Kagawa, a series I started years ago an that I was pleased to return to get into. The series follows Megan Chase a half human, half fairy, daughter of the summer king Oberon. The fey folk have been in danger for a long time since a new kind of fey start appearing, the iron fey, which glamour is mortal to the fey folk.

Megan killed the last Iron king and absorbed his power, however she and Ash have been exiled from the Nevernever. However this exiled might not be for long since they need Megan again to destroy the new Iron king who is attacking and spreading her kingdom over to the Nevernever.

I really liked this book. I think it was clever and really captivating and easy to get into after years since I read the previous book. The way Julie Kagawa describes the world and really the customs of the fey folk is impressive. In addition to this I liked how Ash changes in this book, how he shows his vulnerabilities to Megan and is proud of having them. Megan is a character that grows a lot in this book to, she learns how to fight and defend herself. And even if she does not want to become a killer she is decided to do whatever is in her hands to save the Nevernever.

To sum up, a really good book and I cannot wait to pick up the last installment in the series, the iron knight next month.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...

Ruby Red book to movie adaptation

“Rubinrot” is the title of the movie adaptation from the book Ruby Red, which was released in 2013.   The movie has been translated to different languages including English as well as Spanish. The sequel was released in 2014, and the last in the series is expected to be released in 2016. As the book the movie follows Gwendolyn Shepperd, a regular 16-year-old girl who is tired of her family secrets. She will discover them all the moment she discover she carries a rare gene which allows her to travel back in time. Everyone was expecting her cousin to inherit the gene; however, she was the lucky one. She will have to face the order of the count of St. Germain, who have the mission to complete the chronograph, an instrument which allow the travelers to choose the date to which they will travel. The movie was actually an entertaining and fun movie, which I enjoyed a lot. It really transmitted the mysterious feeling of the books, giving it a fun tone, which I enjoyed. I think ...
