October Favourites

October was finished and that means it was time for me to share all the things I have liked this month, my monthly favourites.

SKINCARE
When the month started my skin was a bit crazy. Several parts of my facial skin were super dry, while others were breaking out. Therefore I changed my whole skincare routine. Furthermore, since then my skin has been improving little by little, and now it looks much better.
I have been using the “Essence PureSkin anti spot wash gel” plus the “Essence PureSkin toner and powder”. These are part of the new line launched by the brand Essence; this line promise to clean and reduce spots, as well as, blackheads thanks to its “crearderm complex”. I definitely clean my face, without being too dry.

In the mornings I paired these with the “Eucerin AquaPorin Active” moisturizing cream with “light texture”. This was one of the best moisturizing creams I have ever tried. The texture was rich on the hand but as you extended on the face it became really light and didn’t make my skin felt oily at all.

At night, every other day I put the “Darphin Aromatic Purifying Balm”. This balm made out os essential oils helped the regeneration as well as its rehydration.

MAKE-UP
This month I have been keeping things simple in make up. By putting some concealer, BBcream, liner and mascara I was good to go. Nonetheless, my new concealer was an awesome discovery. It was the “Maybeline Instant Age Rewind Eraser” for dark circles. I have heard about it all over youTube as well as in some blogs. Thus I didn’t regret buying it, because it covers my circles pretty well, not forgetting, it is perfect for my light skin. It also stays all day without creating any lines.

FASHION
This month, as it happened with make up, I have been dressing in a really casual form. In addition to that, the weather has been pretty crazy: some days was really hot, others was cold…
The only thing I can think of, that I have wear several times is a pair of bootties. I bought them a little ago, and they are so comfortable I have been wearing them a lot.

BOOK
This month, as you will read in my wrap up, I have been trying to finish some of the books I had already started. The one book that I really enjoyed reading, and even being as long as it is, the book that I wanted to read all the time was A Game of Thrones by George RR Martin

MUSIC
I’ve been listening to lots of new music this month. I discovered a bunch of artists and songs, which I haven’t had before. Nevertheless, the artist I have been listening the most, who I have loved is Bridgit Melder. She was actually a Disney Channel actress, however her music sounds really mature. It is also a mix of several styles, making the songs quite catchy.

TV/FILMS
This past month was the month when most TV shows started/continued. The Series that has actually got my full attention, and which I was expecting week after week was Once Upon a Time In Wonderland. I don’t really know why, but I think it’s a really compelling series.
As for movies, the one that would stand out will be Prisoners. This was such an amazing movie, it was compelling, nail biting and overall terrific.

FOOD
This month I have been a “cereal killer”. I have probably gone through 5 or 6 boxes of different kinds of cereal. I have been eating them with milk, yogurt, and cottage cheese

And, of course, I have been drinking tea. However, I’ve been quite obsessed with loose leaves tea, especially a blend of puhr-eh tea with berries. It tastes sweet and soft, really good.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...
