If I Stay (book to movie adaptation)

I recently read “If I stay” by Gayle Forman, and I really liked it (see my whole review). I read it meanly because I wanted to see the movie, which was hyped up when it came out.
The movie was overall good, I was hoping to like it more but it wasn’t bad at all. However it wasn’t a movie I will consider watching over and over again.
As a book to movie adaptation it was pretty decent and accurate. Of course, there were things which were more shocking in the book and weren’t picturing like that in the movie. But also, there were parts added in the movie that weren’t like that in the book, like the fact Mia and Adam were apart. There was a thing I really liked and it was the characters, they were pretty accurate and I’m not talking about their physical appearance, being honest I didn’t even remember their appearance on the books, but the feeling they transmitted. And it’s also true the feeling watching the movie was the same as reading the book. Never the less, maybe it might be a little slow or boring for those how haven’t read the book.

To sum up, I think if you have read “If I stay” you might want to watch the movie, it’s a good adaptation I think you will like. If you haven’t read the book, be aware, the movie isn’t really fast paced and might even get a little confused.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...
