July Wrap Up - August TBR

This month has been a really good month for my Reading progress. I have been able to read a total of eleven books, I think it has been the month in which I‘ve read the most of my entire life! Not only that, I have managed to finish one series (The Infernal devices trilogy), as well as, being up to date with another one (The Raven Cycle). In addition to all this, I feel even better because I really liked all the books I’ve read, and I loved most of them.
The first book I started on the last day of June and finished right away was Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, the second book in the infernal devices trilogy. I found this book really captivating but less original than the first one, that’s the only reason I gave it a four out of five stars. (Full review here)
Then run to read City of lost souls by Cassandra Clare, as well, from her other series in the Shadowhunters world, The Mortal Instruments, this is the second to last book in the series and it was amazing, five out of five. (Full review here)
After this, I couldn’t get enough of the shadowhunters world so I finished the Infernal devices trilogy by reading Clockwork princess. I really liked this book but the ending put me a little off, so I ended up giving it a four out of five. (Full review here).

I had to hold myself not to jump right into the last book of the Mortal Instruments, because that’s next month’s shadowhunter bookclub book. So I decided to go for the Duff by Cody Keplinger, another of the books in my ambitious TBR. I loved this book especially how straight forward it was for being YA; it was a solid five out of five for me.

Then I started Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater. However, I neded a break from this book since Maggie Stifvater writing style it’s quite complicated, and ended up reading If I stay by Gayle Forman. I flew by the book, read it from cover to cover in no time, it was heart breaking and original, and even though it was a little slow paced I gave it a five out of five stars.

I finish Blue Lily, Lily Blue right before the 7 in 7 read-a-thon. I liked it, I think this series it’s good, although I found them really complicated and difficult to follow, and I didn’t enjoy them as much as I do with other books. I ended up giving this book a three out of five.

And last but not least on Monday 27th July it started the 7 in 7 read-a-thon, and I ended up reading five more books on the month of July since the last two will go in my august Wrap Up. As I said in the entry I dedicated to this read-a-thon I was going to try read the next seven books in the Seep or Wicca series by Cate Tiernan, so I did. I read The Coven (Full review here), on Monday, gave it four out of five. On Tuesday as well as Wednedsay I read Bloodwitch, giving it another four out of five. On Wednesday, as well, I read Dark Magick, which I loved and ended up giving it a five out of five.
On Thursday I started and almost finished awakening, however I didn’t ended up finishing it until today’s morning, since I couldn’t read at all on Friday. Let’s hope I have a good reading weekend and finish my challenge.

As for my August TBR, I can’t help but being a little ambitious since I’ve read this much this month; however I don’t want to push myself that much. First we have the last three books in the 7 in 7 read-a-thon TBR: Spellbound, The Calling and Changeling by Cate Tiernan, books seven and eight in the Sweep series.

Then I want to finish some series, starting with the mortal instruments by reading the last book: City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare, also the last book in the bookclub.

Then I aim to finish two more series: The Mara Dyer series and the Lynburn Legacy trilogy. To accomplished that I must read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and the Evolution of Mara Dyer both by Michelle Hodkin; As well as, Untold and Unmade by Sarah Rees Brennan.
Thanks for reading,
