“Beautiful Darkness” is the second book in the caster Chronicles written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stoll. As other series I am trying to finish this year, I started this series years ago reading the first book, which I actually enjoyed.

Macon Ravenswood died the night of Lena’s sixteenth birthday and she has not been the same since that moment. She has stopped writing and she does not spend as much time with Ethan as she used to. They start getting distant and a new powerful and mysterious Caster boy appears. Lena starts spending time with this mysterious boy as well as her cousin Ridley, and she starts changing as well.

“Beautiful Darkness” was an Ok book. It was not bad but it was not great. It was really hard for me to get into it, especially since the book is pretty uneventful until the last third. I also could not stand Ethan, in my opinion he changed his mind so easily around her feeling for Lena, in addition to not be able to see many things coming which were quite obvious.

Therefore I do not think I can recommend this book, however I will give the next book a try and see if I change my mind.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...

Ruby Red book to movie adaptation

“Rubinrot” is the title of the movie adaptation from the book Ruby Red, which was released in 2013.   The movie has been translated to different languages including English as well as Spanish. The sequel was released in 2014, and the last in the series is expected to be released in 2016. As the book the movie follows Gwendolyn Shepperd, a regular 16-year-old girl who is tired of her family secrets. She will discover them all the moment she discover she carries a rare gene which allows her to travel back in time. Everyone was expecting her cousin to inherit the gene; however, she was the lucky one. She will have to face the order of the count of St. Germain, who have the mission to complete the chronograph, an instrument which allow the travelers to choose the date to which they will travel. The movie was actually an entertaining and fun movie, which I enjoyed a lot. It really transmitted the mysterious feeling of the books, giving it a fun tone, which I enjoyed. I think ...
