“The eternity cure” is the second book in the “blood of Eden” trilogy written by Julie Kagawa. The books follow a dystopian future in which a plague was liberated and ended with most of the population. Since then the cities are protected by vampire lords, who reign as kings among humans.

After leaving Eden Alison is decided to find her sire, Kanin, who was trapped by one of the cruelest vampires, Sarren. Following her blood bond, she is lead to find no other but her blood-brother, Jackal, king of Old Chicago and the one that killed Jeremiah. However, they found themselves uniting forces in order to find Kanin and the possible cure. This quest will lead them to the beginning of Alison’s life, New Covington. However, the city would not be the only thing Alison will face that she thought she had left behind.
“The Eternity Cure” was overall a really good book, however it was hard for me to get into it, since it had been almost four years since I read the first one. Also, I founded the beginning when Alison is alone quite slow and tedious, however once she unites with Jackal and specially when they get to New Covington the pace starts picking up.
Apart from that, I really liked the twists that the plot gave, especially in the end. Although I was kind of expecting what was hinted in the prologue.
The characters change a little since book one, however Allison suffered a major development in book one, therefore there was not much to be done. Jackal though suffers an extreme development during this book and I can venture much development in the future. Kanin though was an odd character, I did not feel an attachment to him. He was like ghost, he has little dialog and does not add much to the whole story.

To sum up, “The eternity cure” was an interesting and compelling sequel. And I am now ready to finish up the series with the third book, “The forever song”.

October Wrap Up - November TBR

Hello again everyone, Today starts a new month and that means that it is time to wrap up the previous month and set this month's TBR. Last month I set an ambitious TBR which I was unable to complete entirely, but I did manage to get a lot read which makes me kind of happy. As I also said on the previous month's post I was going to center this past month's TBR on the "Sweep/ Wicca" series by Cate Tiernan, and that is what I did. I managed to finish the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and get thought half of the eleventh. I have enjoyed most of this books, however the last two, Seeker and Origins, change the point of view and I have not been able to click with them as I was able to so with the other ones. As for the November TBR, I want to still finish this series, reading the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth and sixteenth books in the series, Eclipse, Reckoning, Full Circle and Night Child. Appart from that, I want to keep finishing s...
