How I plan using my small Kikki - K

Today I will explain how I use my Small Kikki-K in my planning routine. I have had this small planner for over a year now and I have been always using it in the same way as I do now, with small changes in the color coding etc.
The small size Kikki-K is the equivalent to a pocket size Filofax, and it is because of the small size that it is the planner I carry it with me almost everywhere.
The setting in this planner is really simple; I have a monthly view with a month on two pages spread; a weekly view with a week on two pages spread; and a section I named “lists and more”. For the first two sections use the Kikki-K inserts. This inserts came with the planner when I purchased it and I liked them last year so I purchase them this year.  The last one is a mix of different colored paper that I cut to size and hole-punched myself.
Now that I have explained how I have my planner set up, I am going to explain the process of planning that take place in this planner. The first thing that I use this planner for is for planned in advance events. These I write in my monthly calendar. If the event is set and stone I will write it on black ink and highlight it with its correspondent color from my color coding system. However if the event is planned but has possibilities of be change I will write it with a frixion pen, also in the correspondent color.
When the week starts I look at the monthly spread and write any events on the weekly spread. Then I will put the things I have preplanned on my EC life planner. And then as the day goes on I write on things that came out that were not preplanned. As the day goes on I cross the things that get done, and the things that I need to move to a different day using a color core system as well. That’s how my planner looks like at the beginning of each day versus how they look at the end of the day.
About the color coding systems I use in my small Kikki-K, the first one is the one that categorize the task or event. I use the pastel frixion highlighters by Pilot, or the slim frixion pens, which have the 0.38 point tip. I use the following colors:
-Orange is for work related things
-Yellow is for special events: vacations, holidays, birthdays and whenever I give lessons.
-Pink is for the blog related things
-Blue is for home things and my boyfriend
-Blue-Green is for me and my things, such as planner related stuff or computer things
-Purple is for health and fitness

Here is a sample of how my weekly spread changes as the week goes on:

And then as you could see on my spreads I use markers to cross the things as days end, following these rules:
-Black is for completed/done things
-Red is for undone things, usually things that will have to get moved to the following day
-Green is for things that got moved with anticipation, for example, if something important needs to be done or I got called to assist a meeting on a day and that means I will not have time to do something planned for that day I will move it when the day starts.
-Blue is for cancelled tasks or appointments

Now that I have explained my planning on this planner I will talk you a little about the last section in the planner, ‘Lists and more’. In this section I keep a running to do list, a most frequently used contacts list, also a ‘books to buy’ list, in case I go to a bookstore. Moreover, I keep a ‘music to check out’ list and note paper, just in case I forgot my fauxdory home.
